Working practice

 Before proceeding with a project the Art Agency requires:

 1 A full written brief including size and layout dimensions.

 2 A signed purchase order with company address and details of fees and delivery deadlines.

 The Art Agency will liaise between the client and illustrator unless agreed otherwise, in which case they should  always be included in any correspondence.

 Payment terms

 Strictly 30 days from receipt of invoice. On long-term projects a part payment structure will be required.

 Rejection fees

 After first visual: 40%

 After second visual: 50%

 After final art work: 75%

 Final art work can only be rejected if the illustrator has clearly failed to follow the brief or failed to deliver to  their usual standard.

 Rights

 Copyright belongs to the illustrator and must be purchased by negotiation. The illustrator retains the right to use  the work for self-promotion. The actual art work belongs to the illustrator and must be returned to them or  purchased by negotiation even if copyright has been released.
